MusicPlus Digital was originally created as a free Key Stage 2 music resource for Kent (UK) schools and is currently used in lots of primary schools across the county
Primarily the resource is for lower Key Stage 2 children so between the ages of 7 and 9 however, anyone who is young at heart can have a go!
After signing up you will access 15 digital lessons which you need to follow through in order from 1-15. Each lesson is separated into parts so that you can replay any section until you get the skill being learnt perfected
We are currently opening up access to MusicPlus Digital for individual learners until the end of August 2021. We will update you on the email you signed up on should this change.
Yes, the resource only teaches the Ukulele.

If you want to use the resource with a class of children, yes but an individual signing up can use it from anywhere in the world.
Once you have started the video for one lesson, the next one will unlock for you to watch when you’re ready. This ensures that you learn all the skills in the right order.
Digital content in one lesson, if each part is viewed in succession will take roughly 45 minutes.

No, you will need to have access to a Ukulele before you start.
You can use a Soprano or Concert Ukulele.
There are plenty of apps on both iOS and Android that will help you tune your Ukulele. Just go to your app store and search Ukulele tuner. If you are on a desktop computer, there are also lots of free online resources and websites which will help you tune. We always recommend tuning your instrument before you start so that it sounds great when you play along with Jake.
We recommend using a PC with a larger screen but MusicPlus Digital has been optimised for use on all devices.
If you finished the course you can still sign up for a refresher! If you started the course but didn’t complete it, you can complete it at home by signing up. Sign up here.

This resource was designed for use in schools with a teacher and lots of people learning at once, so sometimes Jake, your virtual teacher, will mention things which don’t quite make sense in the context of learning at home. However, don’t worry - you're still learning everything you need from the videos here.
Your data will only be used to contact you regarding MusicPlus Digital, and for Kent Music to know how many people are accessing the service. We will never sell or share your data with a third party, and will be stored securely.
